Harvest charity collection for homeless

Posted onPosted on 20th Oct

Staff at the Mansfield branch of the Nottingham Building Society (The Nottingham) joined with Redgate School, Mansfield, to help homelessness charity Framework.

Redgate pupils collected food, toiletries and clothing at their harvest festival and handed over the donations to Framework at the branch.

The Nottingham customer adviser, Julie Croucher, said; “The children loved taking part in the collection.

“The service offers emergency accommodation to the homeless until they have secured a more long-term place to live. Many rely on the communal store-cupboard to keep them going for those first few days.”
The Nottingham has worked with Framework since 2011, raising £45,000 through its Doing Good Together initiative.

Chris Senior, fundraising manager at Framework, said: “We are very grateful to our friends at the Nottingham Building Society and the children at Redgate School.
