Posted onPosted on 21st Sep

Mansfield Museum and the town’s Palace Theatre have both won gold customer service awards in a scheme run by business networking organisation Mansfield BID.

The awards were presented to Mansfield District Council’s cultural services manager Andrew Tucker and Ian Grindle, box office supervisor at the theatre.

Earlier this year the museum won a Mansfield 2020 Business Award for its community involvement work and was named Nottinghamshire’s Heritage Site of the Year. It also the best event title at the heritage awards.

Portfolio holder for cultural services and town and district centres Coun David Smith said: “I am over the moon about them winning these awards. It is a great achievement. Congratulations go to all in cultural services who have contributed to the museum and theatre receiving this latest well-deserved recognition.

“Both these attractions are fantastic assets to the town and contribute greatly to the quality life for residents as well as attracting visitors from beyond the district.”
