Kirkby Inner Wheel Club president Jacquie Chapman welcomed Nicola Roberts, chief executive of the Central Nottinghamshire branch of mental health charity MIND, to the club’s June meeting and presented her with a cheque for £1,300.

Nicola thanked the group and said: “This is the largest donation we have received from a group of your size and we are very grateful.

“It will be put to good use. We have to raise £60,000 a year to fund our services for those with mental health problems and their families in the area.”
