Britain’s Got Talent 2009 winners Diversity teamed up with part-time theatre school Razzamataz Mansfield to create a workshop for students.
Razzamataz Mansfield and four other branches of the school, took students, aged 11-17, to Diversity’s studios in Essex.
Diversity’s Jordan and Perri led the workshop. Students were split into two studios to learn a routine and then looked at Diversity’s costumes from their stage and TV work.
After learning a second routine, the youngsters performed the dance for Diversity and showcased some of their own street dance moves.
The students were given feedback to help improve their performance and asked the Diversity team questions about being performers and what their lives have been like since winning Britain’s Got Talent.
Claire Blower, Mansfield principal, said: “It was a privilege to work with the Diversity guys and they made our students feel very special.
“We always have lots of experiences planned to make our students time at Razzamataz the most rewarding it can be.”
Children who attend Razzamataz Mansfield, take part in dance, drama and singing classes and experience everything from classic West End musical theatre styles to funky street dance and pop singing.
Classes run for two to 18-year-olds and students aged four and over are rehearsing for their annual show at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield, in May.
Classes are held on Saturdays at Create Theatre, West Notts College. To book a free trial session email Claire at [email protected], call 07402 179892 or visit www.razzamataz.co.uk
