It’s 80s disco time to help Clipstone runner

Posted onPosted on 7th Feb

If you love your 80s music, then a charity disco night will be right up your street.

The Civic Quarter, part of Mansfield Civic Centre, in Chesterfield Road South, is hosting a special 80s night on Friday, February 24th.

Doors open at 7.30pm and for this event there is a £5 entry fee.

The entrance money raised from the event will go towards Wayne Swiffin’s London Marathon fundraising for The Royal British Legion.

Wayne, from Clipstone, is a new runner but has pledged to raise money for the charity by running the 26.2 mile event on April 23.

He said: “If you love your 80s music, perhaps want to dress up, then you can have a great time and help me help The Royal British Legion.

“I’m really grateful to the team at The Civic Quarter for hosting this special disco to help me raise money.”

The Civic Quarter is fast becoming known as one of the best venues in and around Mansfield, hosting boxing nights, presentation evenings, parties and more.
