Vulnerable children in Mansfield and Sutton benefited from a donation of Christmas presents by employees at David Wilson Homes East Midlands.
Seventeen members of staff at David Wilson Homes’ regional office in Coalville each contributed £10 to fund Christmas presents for six children in Nottinghamshire homes managed by Homes2Inspire, including Layton House, Mansfield; Sudbury House, Huthwaite; and School House, Sutton.
Homes2Inspire is a charity that provides guidance, protection and safe spaces for young people who have often experienced traumatic childhood events.
The children provided a wish list featuring items they would love to receive at Christmas. Some of the requested gifts included Nike vouchers, Lego Minecraft sets, and perfume – items that may not be readily accessible in their daily lives.
John Reddington, managing director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “It’s a privilege to extend a helping hand to the children under the care of Homes2Inspire.
“We hope that these gifts bring smiles to the faces of the children and make a positive impact on their Christmas experience.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful cause and look forward to continuing our support for the communities we are proud to be a part of.”
