The Woodland Adventure Zone on Portland College’s campus is among the venues taking part in the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF), offering free activities and food to eligible children.

HAF, funded by the Department for Education helps young people aged 5-16, who receive benefits-related free school meals.

Portland Charity said it was proud to be supporting the Nottinghamshire HAF programme, which aims to help children stay active and happy during the school holidays.

Its Woodland Adventure Zone programme will include nutritional arts and crafts; physical activities and games; team building; climbing, abseiling, zipline, and leap of faith (aged 7+); bouldering activities (aged 5-7); bush craft activities; and orienteering.

The programme at Portland runs from 24th July to 11th August and children can be booked in on as many days or weeks as required, subject to availability. Breakfast and lunch is provided.
