200-mile bikeathon for Sport Relief

Posted onPosted on 9th Mar

Trent Peek, managing director at Mansfield-based print and creative agency CCM Group, will be swapping his comfortable commute to work in his car to face the elements by cycling 40 miles to work on his bike every single day for a full working week.

Trent will be cycling the scenic route from Woodthorpe in Nottingham to the CCM office based on the Millennium Business Park in Mansfield, from Monday 16th to Friday, 20th March.

Trent said: “The total miles covered during my week-long bikeathon will be an arduous 200 miles! I think it’s a great challenge and a brilliant way to raise a good amount of money for Sport Relief. Plus, it may help me lose a little of my still present Christmas weight!

“I’d like to encourage those in the area to keep their eye out for me during their daily commute. I should be easy to spot in my CCM branded cycling top, and whilst I will probably be the cyclist on the road that looks exhausted, I’ll still be wearing a smile nonetheless.

“Any encouraging horn pips and heckles of support out of your car windows will be greatly appreciated and I’m sure it will give me that extra bit of motivation I’m going to need.”

All money raised through Trent’s epic 200-mile bikeathon will be directly donated to Sport Relief.

Trent’s aim is to raise £500 through his JustGiving page. Trent has chosen to take to two wheels as Sport Relief is an event which brings the nation together to get active and raise money through the power of sport.

The money raised will be used to improve life-changing mental health services and help many other Sport Relief funded projects supporting people living incredibly tough lives in the UK and around the world.
