Freemasons of Kirkeby Lodge No. 5288, who meet on Nottingham Road, Mansfield, made a £400 donation to 1st Forest Town Brownies.

Brown Owl Louise Radford is pictured accepting the donation from Simon Leeming, accompanied by Kirkeby’s Worship Master Paul Scholey.

Louise said the money would be used to buy much-needed all-weather coats, which they use for visits and parades.

Simon said charity was at the heart of Freemasonry.

Three hundred years of Freemasonry will be marked in the Market Square, Nottingham, on 17th June when local charities that have been assisted over the years will be showcased.
